Fast, Comprehensive Brake Testing
Take the guess work out of brake system analysis
Reduce operating costs and improve safety
Brakes
on a five-axle tractor trailer can he checked in only 5 to 10 minutes total !
This includes the following measurements at each wheel:
Weight carried on the wheel
Measures left and right and totals
Difference in weight from let to right can cause handling
problems or vehicle could have a bent frame
Maximum Brake force
Maximum amount of force that is applied to the wheel during
brake test Checks if brakes are functioning properly, Finds defective brakes,
oil-soaked linings, etc...Does the vehicle have adequate stopping power?
Maximum deceleration
This is the stopping distance in meters at a given
efficiency rate (the stopping power of the brake)
Maximum Parking Brake Force
Finds weak or broken spring brakes, bad valves and other
defects.
Maximum
Rolling Resistance and
Minimum Rolling
Resistance
During the test the machine samples the maximum amount of
resistance that is required to keep the wheel turning. The machine takes a
sample of the highest reading on each wheel and gives a total, Detects wheel
bearing drag, Detect and prevent future costly problems saving fuel and dollars,
Detect brake drag, Consuming brake lining, costing fuel, not to mention dollars
Brake Balance %
This is the percentage difference between the maximum brake
force on left and right hand side. Determines if the vehicle will stop equally
across the axle tested
Rolling Resistance Ratio
The amount of deceleration in the wheel without the brakes
being applied
Tractor
and
Trailer compatibility and optimum brake life!
